to myself which tells of part of the problems. Dr. Roberts has been
distinguished by an American medical publication as the Best Doctor In
the United States. He is the world expert on aspartame, declared it a
global plague and published the medical text, Aspartame Disease: An
Ignored Epidemic, over 1000 pages of symptoms and diseases triggered by
this deadly neurotoxin. (Aspartame/NutraSweet/Equal/E951/Canderel,

This is not the only problem from Ajinomoto. I answered the false
information on their web site but they refuse to answer my letter which
you can read at http://www.dorway.com/toajinomoto.html

I have personally contacted the FBI when I began getting flooded with
viruses and was unable to use the computer when the quarantine contained
200 megs. The FBI said if someone is trying to prevent you from
operating the local authorities should be contacted and will help.

I lectured in England during the summer with interesting events. Who
was responsible for me being locked up by Immigration for 3 1/2 hours
with such questions as: "If we allow you in England how many people
will find out about the dangers of aspartame?" Since the interrogator
himself seemed to know nothing of aspartame who could be responsible?
All material and books on this toxin were confiscated but later returned
when I did enter the country. It was obvious they knew I was coming.

When I lectured in Shrewsbury Shropshire it was interesting-- a mole
from Cowan McKenna, Litigation Dept. traveled 4 hours on a train from
London to record my lecture. Who do they represent? A notice had been
put in the Shropshire Star about this June 20th event. On July 3, there
was a letter from Ann Jones of Aspartame Information trying to prevent
people from believing the facts. The address of this so-called
Aspartame Information Service was said to be 23 Bressonden Place which
is the same address of Alhbe Fallon, Ajinomoto's PR organization in
London.

As Aspartame Awareness Weekend approaches I am reminded that Ann Jones
of Aspartame Information (Ajinomoto, the manufacturer) wrote that
aspartame did not bring anything new to the diet, and did not get in the
blood stream. This was regarding publicity about my lecture tour from
coast to coast in England in discussing the dangers of this
neurotoxin.

Jones is correct about aspartame not bringing anything new to the diet.
It has always been dangerous and controversial as it remains today. On
Jan 10, l977 in a 33 page letter, FDA Chief Counsel Richard Merrill
recommended to U.S. Attorney Sam Skinner a grand jury investigate
Searle, the original manufacturer, for "apparent violations of the
Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act 21, U.S.C. 331 (e) and the False
Reports to the Government Act 18 U.S.C. 1001 for "their willful and
knowing failure to make reports to the FDA required by the Act 21,
U.S.C. 355 (i) and for concealing material facts and making false
statements in reports of animal studies conducted to establish the
safety of aspartame. The FDA called special attention to studies
investigating the effect of NutraSweet on monkeys and hamsters.
(Letter from Richard A. Merrill, Chief Counsel, Department of Health,
Education and Welfare, FDA, to Honorable Samuel K. Skinner, U. S.
Attorney, Northern District of Illinois requesting that Skinner's office
convene a Grand Jury investigation into G. D. Searle Co. for submitting
false reports. (Jan 10, l977).

U.S. Attorneys Sam Skinner and William Conlon hired on with the defense
team and the statute of limitations expired. Aspartame was finally
approved in l981 when Dr. Arthur Hull Hayes over-ruled the FDA's Board
of Inquiry who told him aspartame was never proven safe, triggered brain
tumors and couldn't be approved. See summation on www.dorway.com He
then went to work for the PR Agency of the manufacturer and has refused
to talk to the press ever since.

One of the pivotal studies used to approve aspartame was SC-18862, a 52
week oral toxicity infant monkey study. Seven monkeys were fed
aspartame, 5 had grand mal seizures and one died. The study said the
convulsions in the monkeys can be attributed to high serum phenylalanine
levels. So much for Ajinomoto's claim aspartame doesn't get into the
blood stream.

In Aspartame (NutraSweet) Is It Safe? by H. J. Roberts, M.D. it says on
page 30: "After ingestion there is a rapid breakdown and absorption of
aspartame within the upper gastrointestinal tract. This results in a
prompt rise of the two amino acids in the blood stream."

Page 32: "Influence of Method of Administration" Both phenylalanine
and aspartame concentrations in the blood plasma are significantly
higher when aspartame is given as a solution rather than in capsule
form."

How about Ajinomoto's own studies? Aspartame, Physiology and
Biochemistry, Marcel Dekker, Inc.., New York, L.D. Stegink and L. J.
Filer, Jr. 1984 (Pro industry, Significantly Corporate Sponsored!!)

Page: 162: RESULTS: Phenylalanine Moiety: "The pattern of
distribution of (U-14CPhe) aspartame following its oral administration
was very similar to that of (U-14C) phenylalanine after 0.5, 2.6 and 24
hr and 7 days. Thirty minutes after administration of these compounds,
very high levels of radioactivity were observed in the lumen of the
stomach and upper small bowel. Significant uptake of radioactivity was
observed in the pancreas, gastrointestinal mucosa, hair follicles,
salivary gland and liver. Radioactivity was observed in the kidney,
adrenal gland, bone marrow, spleen and eye. Some radiolabel was
localized to the BRAIN, SPINAL CORD [emphasis added] heart, thymus, lung
and testes.

It's quite difficult to make statements that aren't accurate when you've
left a paper trail of facts. My letter to Ajinomoto about these
inaccuracies remains on http://www.dorway.com because they refuse to
answer it.

The symptoms and diseases triggered by aspartame (Canderal,
NutraSweet, E951, etc.) took 1038 pages to list in the new medical

In the US we are now taking case histories for class action having to do
with aspartame triggered seizures, eye deterioration, blindness and

including the Federal Trade Organization. Dr. Roberts new 1 800 number
for getting his books is 1 800-827-7991. So to defeat Ajinomoto's
attempts at preventing the consumer public from getting the real truth
on this deadly chemical poison, let's make sure everybody knows about
this site, the medical text on the global plague of aspartame disease
and how to get it as well as many other of his excellent books and tapes
on the subject. Spread the http://www.dorway.com web site. Bob Flint,

site and information you can put on envelopes and whatever your creative

read the entire actual Board of Inquiry report of the FDA stating
aspartame is not safe and causes brain tumors. There is also the paper
by one of the most renowned neuroscientists in the world today to the
Board of Inquiry, John Olney, M.D., who founded the field of
neuroscience called excitotoxicity. He let them know, and they agreed,
what would happen to the brains of our kids if it was approved.
Unfortunately the prophecy has been fulfilled. Russell Blaylock, M.D.,
neurosurgeon wrote the book on excitotoxicity. It's called
Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills.

It was only today that I spent a couple of hours with an aspartame
victim, 20 year old Patrick, who had no idea what caused his problems
and neither did his physicians. You see the manufacturers of aspartame,
and the professional organizations, as well as the FDA continue to lie
to the public. He came by wheelchair. He had the usual fibromyalgia
and chronic fatigue so common in aspartame victims. He's always in
pain. A study at the University of Florida incidentally has connected
this with excitotoxins, aspartame and MSG. He constantly has to change
his glasses as he is going blind. When his mother said he used aspartame
gum I mentioned that it goes through saliva straight to the brain, works
like nitroglycerin and can cause seizures. She said: "He is already
having seizures". He takes all kinds of medicines at great expense
which interact with aspartame. Aspartame depletes serotonin so he
suffers the usual panic attacks, depression, insomnia, etc. The
methanol causes rosacea and he is red all over his body. Aspartame
binds to calcium so its affected his teeth. He has dry eye and dry
mouth and Dr. Roberts has written papers on these. Aspartame destroys
the central nervous system and he has the usual neurological symptoms.
His mother devotes everyday to taking care of him and taking him from
doctor to doctor. Now they are doing a MRI and want to see if he has a
brain tumor. He could be the poster boy for Aspartame Disease.

Monsanto sold aspartame to Ajinomoto, an investment firm made up of
Monsanto managers, Michael Dell's investment firm and Childs of
Boston. After leaving this young man, providing he has and his
physicians papers on aspartame and the problems he has, I thought about
the monsters who marketed with full knowledge a deadly chemical poison
for human consumption and have caused hundreds of thousands of consumers
the world over to have the problems Patrick summer from. I would guess
at millions. And while I left with tears in my eyes I thought rage must
rise up in the very nostrils of Almighty Jehovah God.

No doubt Ajinomoto is desperate and this is how low they stoop to try
and prevent consumers and physicians, etc. from finding out what is
causing their suffering. Spread the word.

CASE SUMMARY: Four patients diagnosed with fibromyalgia syndrome
for two to 17 years are described.
All had undergone multiple treatment
modalities with limited success. All had complete, or nearly complete,
resolution of their symptoms within months after eliminating monosodium
glutamate (MSG) or MSG plus aspartame from their diet.
All patients were women with multiple comorbidities
prior to elimination of MSG.
All have had recurrence of symptoms whenever MSG is ingested.
