THOSE WHO SPEAK, HEAR, AND SEE EVIL
(We identify the EVIL ones)
Quite often, one needs a program just to be able to identify
the "players." Who finances organizations? Sometimes the
paper trails are not easy to follow, and other times, it's a piece
of cake.
BACKGROUND
In the best interests of having that piece of cake and
eating it too...have the cake with a cup of Starbucks
(Star$$$) coffee!
YOUR LETTERS MADE A DIFFERENCE!!!
STAR$$$ COFFEE BANS GENETIC MILK
We've won! Before leaving for the Toronto Health
Show last weekend, I asked you to join Ron Cummins
of Pure Foods and ask Star$$$ not to use
the genetically engineered bovine growth hormone.
Star$$$ has made the decision to eliminate milk
from cows treated with Monsanto's hormone.
HOORAY!
We've been anxiously awaiting a PRESS RELEASE
from those so-called consumer's groups that are supported
by Monsanto. By revealing their displeasure at Star$$$
courageous action, they reveal their close ties to the
pharmaceutical giant.
We did not have to wait long.
Yesterday (Tuesday, March 20, 2001), that PRESS
RELEASE appeared on P.R. NEWSWIRE. It was
posted at 2:01 PM, EST.
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/010320/dctu044.html
THE AUTHORS OF THE PRESS RELEASE ARE THE
REAL ENEMIES OF THOSE SEEKING TRUTH
NEVER forget these names:
The American Council on Science and Health - Elizabeth M. Whelan
National Center for Public Policy Analysis - John Carlisle
Citizens for the Integrity of Science - Steven J. Milloy
Competitive Enterprise Institute - Gregory Conko
Center for Global Food Issues - Alex Avery
Consumer Alert - Fran Smith
The above half dozen cite the 1994 press release of America's
respected Surgeon General, C. Everett Koop.
Koop was working for Monsanto when he wrote:
"Milk from cows given supplemental bovine somatotropin (rbST)
is the same as any other milk. So, there should be no doubt
in the minds of consumers that the milk they drink is just as safe,
nutritious and wholesome as it has always been. Every issue and
every question about BST has been thoroughly and carefully
studied by the federal government and several independent
scientific institutions. Consumers can continue to enjoy milk
and dairy foods with complete confidence.
Unfortunately, a few fringe groups are using misleading statements
and blatant falsehoods as part of a long-running campaign to scare
consumers about a perfectly safe food. "
KOOP LIED
The day after Koop's statement, Monsanto scientist Bernard Violand
submitted a publication to the Journal of Protein Science. His paper
was subsequently published in the July 1993 edition of that journal.
In his paper, Violand admitted that Monsanto had created 5 "FREAK
AMINO ACIDS" when manufacturing that hormone.
Here is what various agencies and scientific publications
reveal about rbST and IGF-I:

"BGH-treated milk is safe because it is indistinguishable
from normal milk."

"Five independent authorities, the Food and Drug Administration
(FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), World Health
Organization (WHO), the Journal of the American Medical
Association (JAMA), and ex-Surgeon General C. Everett
Koop had found rbGH-treated milk to be indistinguishable from
normal milk."

of which was paid to Dr. Daughaday as a consulting fee.

JAMA publication was an "independent authority" referred to
in Monsanto's Press Release)

"Insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), in particular IGF-I and
IGF-II, strongly stimulate the proliferation of a variety of
cancer cells, including those from lung cancer. High plasma
levels of IGF-I were associated with an increased risk of lung
cancer. Plasma levels of IGF-I are higher...in patients with
lung cancer than in control subjects."

"The insulin-like growth factor (IGF) system is widely
involved in human carcinogenesis. A significant association
between high circulating IGF-I concentrations and an increased
risk of lung, colon, prostate and pre-menopausal breast cancer
has recently been reported. Lowering plasma IGF-I
may thus represent an attractive strategy to be pursued..."

There are hundreds of millions of different proteins in nature, and
only one hormone that is identical between any two species. That
powerful growth hormone is insulin-like growth factor, or IGF-I.
IGF-I survives digestion and has been identified as the KEY
FACTOR in breast cancer's growth.
IGF-I is identical in human and cow.
If you believe that breast feeding "works" to protect lactoferrins
and immunoglobulins from digestion (and benefit the nursing infant),
you must also recognize that milk is a hormonal delivery system. By
drinking cow's milk, one delivers IGF-I in a bioactive form to the
body's cells. When IGF-I from cow's milk alights upon an existing
cancer...
