My name is Woodrow Monte I am a retired professor of Food Science from
Arizona State University. woodymonte at xtra.co.nz

I have been studying Aspartame and Methanol, its major poisonous component,
for over 20 years. I published my first scientific article warning of the
formaldehyde produced from the consumption of Aspartame in 1984.

I have within the last 6 months published additional information which I
would like to have your committee consider as you evaluate the dangers of
this sweetener.
