Subject: [Aspartame Support] aspartame brain tomor lawsuit
Date: Wednesday, July 06, 2005 10:40 AM
Dear Members,
We, the staff of this group, having looked very closely into this matter,
have decided that it would be a good thing to support the efforts of an
attorney in New York, Keith Silverstein, to find a patient to participate in
a lawsuit against the aspartame industry.
I have to make it clear that this is not a lawsuit that just anyone might be
able to participate in. He needs someone who has been diagnosed with a brain
tumor in the last three years, and they must be a resident of NY, NJ, MS, or
of Illinois, and I think in the last case, we are talking, specifically,
about Madison City, Illinois.
Now, I am not just talking about there being such a person on this list. We
have 850 members, but that is not really that large of a pool when we are
looking for something so specific as this. What I would hope to see is that
people would try and find such a person, by any means possible, including
contacting people you know in those locations to see if they know of anyone,
or anyone who knows of anyone else, or might be able to find someone who
does, by making contacts through churches, for instance, or any other groups
that they may belong to. For instance, if you were to tell someone your know
in Mississippi, NY, or NJ to stand up before their church congregation and
ask that people help them find such a person, that might get results.
The next thing I want to say is, by no means do I want anyone to send any
such cases to me. I do not want to see them. This is strictly a matter
between the attorney and the victim/potential client. Do not send the cases
to me, or to this group. If you want to talk about your situation in
relation to the format here, wherein we share our symptoms and progress with
others, that is another matter. But if it relates to potential lawsuits, we
cannot allow that, because it puts us in jeopardy potentially.
Anyone who has an email list or mailing list should use it to the benefit of
this effort. I am appealing to any of you who have any such resources to
please use them for this matter. If anyone has any question, please, let's
hear them. We really need to see some results here, because if this suit
triumphs, it will establish jurisprudence so that other lawsuits in other
states might succeed also.
If you do not have anything that has to do with this specific matter, please
do not contact Mr. Silverstein! If you have any doubts about that, write to
me instead, and if I think it is something that he would be interested in
looking at, I will send it to him. Like, if you want to ask him if he wants
to take on cases about fibromylgia or something, I can assure you that the
answer is not at this time, so please do not take up his valuable time with
that sort of thing. But I am not putting his e-mail address here for any
other reason than for him to be contacted concerning a potential client for
a brain tumor lawsuit in NY, NJ, MS, or IL.

Fully 11% of aspartame is methanol-- 1,120 mg aspartame in 2 L diet soda,
almost six 12-oz cans, gives 123 mg methanol (wood alcohol). If 30% of
the methanol is turned into formaldehyde, the amount of formaldehyde is 18
times the USA EPA limit for daily formaldehyde in drinking water, 2 mg in 2
L water.
