many potent sources of methanol (formaldehyde, formic acid): Williams:
Murray 2004.11.06

2004.11.06 Hello Lori Williams, Aspartame is probably the most potent
source of methanol (formaldehyde, formic acid) for most people, but heavy
users of dark wines and liquors will be getting even more-- that's the main
reason why their condition, physical and mental, keeps declining in a very
complex, messy way for years.

A pathology report won't detect aspartame as a unique source, since its
components, phenylalanine, aspartic acid, and methanol (turns into
formaldehyde and formic acid), are very common in everyone.

Roughly 5% of fairly normal people test sensitive to formaldehyde in a skin
patch test.
You may want to have a specialist give you a comprehensive test battery.

A mysterious dermatitis was caused by a dose the same as two packets Equal
daily.

Be super cautious to avoid all aspartame and MSG. If you still get those
kind of symptoms, check out all these other sources:

tobacco and wood smoke;
in some people, degradation of pectins from fruits and vegetables in the
colon;
new carpets, drapes, furniture, paint, particleboard;
"sick buildings" and new mobile homes;
many personal care products: lotions, medicines, dyes, cleaners,
antiseptics, nail polishes, even leather;
some dental root canal materials;
medical labs, schools, facilities;
methanol in fuels, solvents;
vehicle exhaust.

Formaldelhyde is a toxin, neurotoxin, genotoxin, carcinogen, allergen, and
hyper-sensitivization agent.

Victims are likely to react to many other chemicals: toxic molds, mercury
from fish and silver dental fillings, carbon monoxide, natural gas, food
additives, dyes, preservatives, and sweeteners, common food allergies,
medicines, drugs, hormones, antibiotics, chlorine, fluoride,
antidepressants, lead, cadmium, nickel, city water, and so on ad
infinitum...

Diabetics will be more at risk to every factor.

Plenty of folic acid, which is both cheap and safe, facilitates the
elimination of formaldehyde, and so is very protective.

Substitute stevia (at health food stores).
Avoid all products with aspartame and MSG. Gradually reduce alcohol, sugar,
caffeine (coffee, cocoa, and teas), meat, fish, eggs, milk, butter, and
cheese, food additives and colors, fluoride, city water, salt and sodium.
Enjoy organic rice, beans, nuts, almond butter, vegetables, fruits, with
modest use of soy products and sprouted grain breads, flax seed and olive
oils, vitamins and minerals, 4-8 1,000 mg fish oil capsules, and fill your
jugs with deionized water.

In mutual service, Rich

Rich,

If formaldehyde shows up in my pathology results, can it be for any other
reasons besides aspartame? Is there another chemical that would show up in
the pathology results that would indicate it's from the aspartame?

Thanks in advance for you reply. God bless, Lori
