Husband is Diabetic-quit aspertame same time as me-he's gaining weig   Message List

My husband and I quit aspertame products a week and a half ago, my husband is
diabetic, I am not. I am losing weight, however, he is
gaining ... he is very discouraged, he has not changed his eating
habits ... he's thinking maybe its okay for him to drink fruit drinks
with sucrulose ... I told him to give it more time ... maybe his body
needs to adjust, he feels like his metabolism is slowing down ... I mentioned
that maybe aspartame tricks his body into thinking its real sugar, maybe thats
why his metabolism was higher before. I have fibromyalgia myself, and have
noticed improvements already ... we both noticed the fog lift right away ... my
pain level has improved 50% already. Maybe someone knows why he is gaining
weight, as I cannot find anything on the net about "gaining weight" after
removing aspertame.

There are some that may not agree with me but low carb is promoted by docs for diabetics to keep blood sugar under control. Lowcarber.org is the name I think...
