The Asncoc Board cordially invites you to our first "meeting" of the year on
March 14 at Binkley Baptist Church.  Meetings this year will feature
lightly facilitated discussions in place of speaker presentations.

Please join us on March 14 as we discuss the topic
"Collaboration between Parents and Teachers and Helping Children Succeed:
Ideas That Have Worked and Those That Have Not!"

The location of future meetings will alternate between Binkley Baptist Church in Chapel Hill (BBC) and the Carolina Living and Learning Center in Chatham County (CLLC).

Future Meeting Schedule:

March 14 - Binkley Baptist Church (BBC) – “Collaboration Between Parents and Teachers and Helping Children Succeed:  Ideas That Have Worked and Those That Have Not”
April 11 - Center for Living and Learning (CLLC) - “Teaching Social Skills in School”
May 9 - BBC – “Talking about Autism with your Child”
June 13 - CLLC – “Talking about Autism with Others:  Family, Friends and Your Child’s Peers”
July 11 - BBC – “Biomedical Treatment Approaches for Autism”
August 8 - CLLC – “Coping with Difficult Outings:  How to Plan for Successful Outings”

Meeting format is informal.  We may invite guests who are "experts" on the topic or folks who can add insight into the topic.  However, these meetings will be discussion format. We will not be having guest lecturers at this time.  However, once the meetings take-off we will assess the needs of the group in regards to meeting format and topics of interest.
