Dear Friends in the Orange Chatham Chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina,
I found your contact information through
the Autism Society of North Carolina website, and I am writing to ask your help
in spreading the word about an important workshop opportunity coming up in your
area.
I work for Center for Creative Play®
(CFCP), a nationally recognized leader in the design and development of fully
inclusive play environments. CFCP’s mission is to
educate people about the importance of play for all children, and the
organization envisions a day when every child and their family will have access
to all-inclusive play environments.
In mid-February, CFCP staff members will
be traveling to Raleigh
to perform a universal design assessment
at Marbles Kids Museum.
While we are in Raleigh,
we will be offering two exciting workshops – “I Can Play: Play as a
‘Fun-damental’ Experience for Every Child,” and
“‘Sense-ational’ World:
Sensory Integration Theory in Everyday Life.” These workshops
are ideal for
educators, therapists, early intervention providers, child care professionals,
social workers, parents, and anyone who works with children. They will be
presented by Ingrid
Kanics, OTR/L, a Play Environment Specialist who has recently received a
national award for her work in the field of occupational therapy.
I am writing to ask you to share
information about these workshops with your colleagues, any families you work
with, and anyone else you think might be interested. Please feel free to pass
along the flyer describing the workshops, which you can access at http://www.time2sing.org/Upload/News/Raleigh%20PDF%200208.pdf
Please note: discounted parent rates are available.
I thank you for your support and encourage
you to contact me with
any questions.
Sincerely,
Kate Reilly
