FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Walk Around the World for Autism WALK-A-THON
Looking for Sponsors and Walkers
A 10K walk to support Autism treatment is being organized in downtown
Pittsboro as part of the Walk Around the World event happening on
Sunday October 15th, 2006 at 1:30.
Heidi Farrell, your local team leader for the event, is looking for
walkers and sponsors to help make Pittsboro's 10K walk a success.
This October, people around the world will gather in England,
Scotland, Ireland, Pakistan, Denmark, Canada, as well as all across
America, for a 10K walk to raise needed funds for children with
Autism. With enough walkers, our combined footsteps can reach around
the world.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds raised in the Walk Around the
World will go to helping the Autism Treatment Center of America™, a
non-profit organization, to serve families seeking hopeful solutions
to living with Autism. The Son-Rise Program®, only offered at the
Autism Treatment Center of America™, was the first to suggest that
Autism did not have to be a life sentence. The program teaches
parents to build a bridge to the child's world by first joining them
in theirs.
There are prizes for walkers who raise $100 or more through
sponsorship and donations.
