Hello,

 

We are new to this group and already have a question!  First, our introduction.  My name is Linda and my husband is John.  We have 3 kids:  Tim is 11 and just started middle school.  Dan is 8, just started 3rd grade and has high functioning Autism.  Lia is 2 and was adopted from China last May.  We currently live in Cary, but are worried about all the chaos in the Wake County School System, and are considering a move to Chatham County.

 

We know very little about the area, and would love to hear from families who love (or hate) their schools.  Dan has been 100% mainstreamed this year, and previously was pulled out once a week for OT.  He and Tim have both been labeled as Academically Gifted.  John works in RTP and loves his 10 minute commute, but will sacrifice it if need be.

 

Any advice about schools and neighborhoods will be appreciated.
