Hi Donna - this is a late response. I was on GH as a child because I
stopped growing at about age 9 and went off the growth chart
(negatively that is). I was taken off in high school and now am on it
again as an adult because of deficient levels now. (for an adult it
works more to maintain adequate muscle mass and energy). I can tell
you that the GH needles they have now are sooo small and thin! I wish
they had the technology they do now when I was little. I know though
that I had a hard time getting insurance to pay for the GH. Your
doctor will need to document that Ethan is GH deficient. It is a very
expensive medication. let me know if you have any other questions
regarding the growth hormone. I took shots every night growing up - it
was really no big deal for me - the needles are so small.
