I'm so glad you were able to catch it with labs. It seems that I
know how to tell if my own body needs extra cortisone, but how
diffidult it must be to read the signs of your little Ethan! I'm
also glad your doctors are letting you know what to look for. I do
remember as a little girl that I would sometimes need more cortisone
even if I wasn't sick. I would get very irritable and angry for no
reason (different though from a temper tantrum) - I would just want
to pull my hair out - my parent called it a "cortef attack" but
basically I just neede more cortisone for whatever reason. Kids may
be can be overstimulated and then get physically stress out from that
and we Addison's kids then would need more medicine.

I'm glad you were able to get help.

I'm curious - how do they know he had the "start" of diabetes? Did
they do a genetic test or are they testing his blood sugar and
insulin?
