Donnie had the same problem with his insulin levels. It really
didn't seem to matter what he ate or anything but his readings would
be all over the charts. In fact we just went through a bout with
neurologists because he was having what they at first thought were
seizures of some type where he would just like "check out". They
couldn't find anything wrong with him but after about 3 of these we
came to the conclusion that if his sugar level goes below 130 we have
to really watch him because all 3 times it was between 89 and 110 and
we really think that is what it was. His doctor says that is
unlikely but then again there is a lot that happens that his doctor
has no idea why. He has the Paradigm pump and his sugar levels are
more stable than they ever were. He stays between about 120 and 180
now which is a big load off of us.

APECED. I will have to try out some of the natural remedies you
suggested after we have gotten the blood test results. James has
only had the one bout of problems with his liver, which is why they
risked the cholesterol tablets, and they are keeping a close eye on
his Liver function. James has a Deltec Cosmo insulin pump and it is
better than injections, but his A1C is still 10.5 even though he has
been on it for almost 2 years. He is quite unstable and even when
everything is done right he can go HI for no reason, and the next day
he might go unconscious instead of going HI. According to the letter
to our GP from the Endo "there is no rhyme or reason" for these
levels.
