I've had Addison's,Hypoparathyroidism etc. since I was 6 years old.
I'm now 37 and have dealt with many of the problems people have in
this group. The low calcium has been a constant battle. Calcium
citrate seems to work well for me and keeps my levels normal. As for
the calcium in your urine, several years ago my doctor put me on
hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ). This medicine helps keep the calcium in
your system. Unfortunately, HCTZ is also a blood pressure medicine,
so you might have to keep a check on your blood pressure so it doesn't
get too low. When my blood pressure gets too low, as a result of this
medicine, I usually eat or drink salty things.
Hope this helps!

weeks. There have been a few changes to his meds - decreased
cortisol, added cholesterol tablet - and we have noticed that he has
been sweating alot, been tired, and his skin is a different shade -
but i can't work out what the difference is. The problem is we don't
know what condition to attribute it too! James has
hypoparathyroidism, addisons disease, type 1 diabetes, and pernicious
aneamia. He had trouble with his liver 2 years ago - they ruled out
auto immune hepatitis and didn't know what the cause was (it was so
bad they were talking about a liver transplant - and then he just got
better within about 2 days).

James has low blood calcium but excess calcium output in his urine.
Anyone had this or know what it could be from? The doc was scratching
her head. I'm assuming it could be due to the hypoparathyroidism but
who knows! lol
