Description
Anti-psychotherapy is a discussion group for people who have experienced that psychotherapy (aka "psycho-terror-apy") is largely useless and ineffective for treating psychological / relationship / stress-related / human environment / typically human problems.
Sufferers of psychiatrogenic (psychologist / social worker / psychiatrist / "counsellor" induced) problems are welcome.
Topics of discussion could include - False Memory Syndrome ("implanted"/ suggested childhood sexual abuse/satanic ritual abuse/Multiple Personality)
- psychoanalysis associated mythology
- fad/quackery/fraud in psychotherapy
- ineffectiveness of psychotherapy
- psychiatrogenic abuse damage
- lack of regulation accountability
- sexual/emotional abuse/harassment/ coercion in therapy
- lack of ethical adherence (ie confidentiality violations) / lack of enforcement
- inappropriate/uninformed prescription of neuroleptic medications
- coercive treatment methods (medication- or psycho"therapy"-wise)
- psychotherapy addiction/dependency
- stigmatization, scapegoating hyperpathologizing
- social psychology, (mis)attribution theory priming
- lack of informed consent / full disclosure of treatment methods, risks, intended outcomes
- other concerns members care to volunteer!
