Re: [anosmia] Re: Flixonase Nasule update

Hello,

This is treating allergy indicated anosmia. I have suffered from allergies
and chronic asthma for most of my life, and then a few years ago my sense of
smell disappeared completely in a matter of days.

It responds to Prednisolone, which is the UK variation of Prednisone, which
is not the same, but that can only be a short-term thing. The Flixonase is a
topical steroid which obviously suppresses the inflamation.

However, as many others have experienced here; if I do not use it 3 times
per day, I lose my sense of smell in a matter of days. So as it is it is an
indefinite treatment.

I hopt one day there is a treatment that treats the underlying cause.

Best regards,

Adrian.
