Well I just got done with an interview with the head of our respite
organization. We finally got respite!!!!! I like the way they do it
here in this county. They give you a worker who is the only one who will
work with your child. They train them and do a complete backgound check.
Then from here on out, we set up our respite directly with the worker.
Other places I have lived you had to go through the respite service to
set it up and you got whoever was free. We lucked out and Catie's worker
is a teacher from her school who is doing respite as a side job. She
already knows Catie well. The owrker will also care for our other
children too. Hubby and I are thinking about having a monthly date
night. ( we are allowed up to 15 hours a month)
