Hi Everyone & Happy New Year !
I just have to share this info with all of you...My mom took Andrew
downtown for the day to see all of the windows on State Street, so Bobby & I
were able to have a day alone. I took him for a badly needed haircut, and
then we hit the stores for some mega shopping. Of course, shopping is NOT a
favorite of Bob's- so I had to verbally prompt him the whole time- bribing him
with McDonald's.... Needless to say, we shopped til we dropped, he had his
McDonald's- a cheeseburger, fries, and a 4 piece
Mc Nuggets. On the way home in the car when we were already inside our
subdivision (which is very confusing with twisting & turning streets) he
started pointing the way in. He pointed to the right, and kinda grunted, then
on the next block I said to him, "Which way?". Then he pointed right. (he was
correct) then the last turn, thinking he was just guessing lucky, I asked him
again- and he pointed to the left. I couldn't believe it- I know he recognizes
the way to Mc Donald's, the way to grandmas etc, but I never thought he could
tell me how to get home ! I'll tell you, I always tell people that my son
isn't stupid- and I know that MR is part of this syndrome, but these kids are
clever.... When Bobby needed an Indian name for a project at school, his
teachers named him Lil Fox, how appropriate!
