Ah, well, sorry to have left you so long.... I've been busy making meetings,
doing volunteer work, working, mowing the lawn, chauffering my daughter - and
her friends, AND her new boyfried. Oh! The 'B' word! (boyfriend) She's 12 for
cryin'out loud! Fortunately I do realize that if I am too controlling I'll just
create a very good sneak. There's no way to stop it - but I can maintain some
control by being the driver, the teen-friendliest house - you know, the one with
the best food LOL! In between trying no appear shocked when they kiss or hold
hands, I'm generally driving them somewhere, picking her up or taking him home,
or cooking. On the up side, the bf & another 14 year old tried to fix my riding
mower for me. They've cleaned the gutter and finished mowing using the
walk-behind - I guess they can come in handy!

Been making more meetings lately, too. Which is never a bad thing. Quite a few
newcomers - at least one I've been 'saving a seat' for, for some number of years
now. In this area we also get seasonal and weekenders, which spices up the brew
a bit so we don't get too bored of hearing ourselves.

The kids keep taking my laptop outside to the camper leaving me cut off the www,
but I have managed to read a couple of posts from earlier in May. Yeah, I wish
there were more too, but then if I want the 'hand of AA' to be here, I need to
be the hand of AA and be here!

ODAT to all. Meeting makers make it! Hope everyone is making it.

Hugs,

Deb K
