I got my own dance mat for her Dance Dance Revolution (for the Wii)and
I kept beating her in the basic and beginner modes - so she set mine
to expert - I thought I was going to have a stroke! LOL! I just have
more rhythm than her - can't help it.
We're having a great summer. She nags me to play badminton every day
it's not raining. If it's not too humid, it's a lot of fun. If it's
raining, we like to play the Wii - lately the DDR. So we're getting
plenty of exercise. We're a little light on rain this summmer, so I'm
not mowing every 5 days (yeah!), but the mower is working pretty well
anyway. I've just taken to raking the dead grass because it looks so
awful if I don't. But we do hate that raking!
Next week she goes to camp for 6 days, so I'll be alone. Which I
intend to enjoy. I've planned lunch with a friend from church, and
I'll call an aa friend to see if we can get together for dinner and a
meeting. I am so looking forward to a few extra meetings anyway.
Although I do bring my daughter to one meeting with me - the only open
meeting in town - I don't dare bring her to any of the others. I
don't think the members would object, but she hears enough
questionable things at open meetings I don't dare chance closed
meetings.
Anyway - that's me for today: Sober, grateful, and happy!
