Hi all!

Sorry I haven't been around much....you didn't miss me?? ;) Things
have been pretty rough around here. My sisters husband went into
treatment a month ago...no, I didn't know he had a problem. He came
out and immediatley got drunk. Spent a week doing the stupid drunk
things we all did, beating himself up, stealing from the liquor
store, driving drunk, falling down, 20 stitches in his chin, falling
down again, ripping open stitches, lieing, hiding, isolating,
crying....it's been really rough for my sister. And it tears me up
seeing what this disease is doing to them both. It hurts knowing
that I did exactly this to my family. Its a real slap in the face.
It's also making me very thankful that I am in recovery...sober and
living a good example for them both...and my family, especially my
family.

Thanks for listening. Keep us in your prayers.
Hugs
Kathy

Hi Jim; It is sad to allow someone's sickness to control things. I'm an alcoholic/addict, but my wife developed a zillion ailments during my nine years sober....
