Hi my name is Marie. First let me say that I am sorry that you lost your dear Faith. I wish none of us here have to meet this way. I lost my daughter in March 2003. I walked in the March of dimes that year and the following year. I like what the March of Dimes does. HOWEVER, after much debate with one of the head people of the March of Dimes, I found something out. They are misleading on certain things. They say they help with babies that are born early due to unknown causes as well as birth defects, etc. Well, when I asked them details on how they distribute their donations and what studies they conduct or contribute to, they gave me a round about answer (to make a long story short). I am not so sure they contribute to causes such as birth defects, anencephaly etc. The March of Dimes is a good thing but after searching for a cause to contribute to on behalf of my daughter, I dont think this is the one I
should be investing in.
I think your idea is great and I hope you find a great way to donate the money raised from selling them. I would love to help. I also would love to find an organization that was as big as the March of Dimes but speifically for anencephaly. Isnt there an organization for spina bifida? I mean it is closely related right? Perhaps this group should make its own organization.

Hello. I lost my daughter Faith on 04-04-07 and I have a great idea
for her christmas present. I have ordered 250 rubber bracelets that
say FAITH on them and am going to sell them for a profit that my
husband and i will donat to the march of dimes on her behalf for
christmas. We feel that this is a great way to help, and to help
remeber Faith. I am not sure what organizations deal with
anencephaly, but we want to help with their research. Does march of
dimes even deal with this kind of condition? We want to help. Is
there a specific cause or does march of dimes deal with this too?
