Re: [anencephaly] new to the group

Kristen-
My husband and i were having our second child together and when we were told of his condition decided to induce. He was born alive and lived for minutes only but i understand how strange it is to have a healthy child and then have this happen. Noah was creamated. We were told to wait 3-6m before becoming pregnant again to give my body time to heal and replenish nutrients. Taking 800micrograms of folic acid as well as a multi vitamin and being healthy as possible is supposed to reduce the risk of neural disorders. i wish you guys a happy pregnancy the next time.
