Hi, I chose to have a D & E done at 18 weeks. I do not regret my
decision at all. I feel very lucky that this was an option. My husband
was also very supportive and those close to me. I did a few comments
from a couple coworkers which upset me, but any decision you make
you'll probably get that. I have heard of others that have had 2 or
more children with anencephaly. Usually genetic testing is indicated
at that time for MTHFR. Although, if you have had three normal
pregnancies I wouldnt worry about it happening again.
