Nancy,
I have carried to babies with anencephaly to full term. This is a
difficult thing to do, but I am convinced it is the right thing for
the good of the baby and you, your family, and your community. By
honoring your child's life, you will give the baby all the love you
could possibly give. Your child is a real person, and your son does
have a brother, for a short while here on earth and forever in
heaven. This time on earth is so short... I encourage you to
choose life for you and the baby... you will never regret your
decision, and you will always know you have given all the love you
could ever give to your child. I have experienced the power and
beauty that the life of an anencephalic baby brings to other
people. One of the most beautiful days of my life, was the day of
my second daughter's funeral. May God look upon your sacrifice, and
bless you. May God shine through you and your child and bring
others closer to heaven.
