Nancy, I am very sorry to hear your little one has anencepahly. This
is such a heartbreaking thing to have to go through. My name is Nicole
& I lost my son Logan to anencephaly about 9 months ago. After much
thought & research I decided to carry Logan to full term, so as far
as giving advice on early induction i have no experiance. I was very
pleased in the end that I made that choice.I was able to have LOgan
in my arms for over 33 hours alive.
My only advice would be to read others personal stories, think about
it & do what you think is best for you.Everyone told me that they
thought I should induce labor because they thought it would be too
hard on me, & it was hard, but I know either way things would have
been pretty hard.I mean either way my baby was going to die, but I
personally wanted every second I could possibly get with my little
man. I have a six year old son & he was able to come meet Logan &
hold his baby brother.
I know that most mothers do go on to have healthy babies. Just make
sure you take the 4mg folic acid for at least 3 months before
conception. I have not gotten pregant yet since Logans passing, Im
bot sure when I will be ready either. Possibly after the first of the
year.'You will be in my prayers
Nicole
