Hi! Jenny my name is Molly and I have also just lost a baby to this
horible birth defect. My son was born on March 27, 2005. My husband
and I are also VERY terrified that this can happen again. Like you my
son was our first.I do know that my son will alway be in my heart and
will alway be watching over me. I know that your daughter will always
be in your heart and will watch over you. If I may give you a little
bit of advice do not rush in to having a nother baby to soon. You
need to let your body heal because having a baby takes a lot out of
your body. Also this gives you time to greave for the baby that you
lost. I know this is hard I have to tell this to my self every day. I
to want to have a nother baby. As fare as what you can do to help to
try to prevent this keep taking the folic acid. When you do get
pregnet again ask your doctor to start checking the baby's
development in the first tre-mester because the sooner you know that
the baby is ok the better.
