What a beautiful modality! I would like to
contribute an article to www.massageHOME.com Ezine on Thai
massage. Any Thai massage specialist here that would like
to contribute. The founder's home page is wonderful!
Hello Michael! Thanks for the quick
response.
I also live in nj very close to montclair, but i am
in nyc three/times/wk. I thought that it would be
easier to find someone in the ancient massage techniques
in a city rather than at my backdoor. isn't it a
small world. Jay
Hello Jay and all other members-Although I have
studied Thai massage I practice a style called Burmese
Style Massage. As they say in Thailand, Burmese style
is "same same but different" from Thai style. I have
been learning this wonderful art from my teacher
Mr.Jan since 1991. Presently I am in Montclair,New
Jersey but I am leaving October 4th to spend the winter
in Thailand and study more of this beautiful art. I
will spend most of my time in Pai. I have been to
Thailand several times. I welcome any suggestions or
recommedations from other members of this club about teachers or
schools or even great guesthouse or places to eat. I will
stay in touch and send an occasional report from the
Royal Kingdom, thanks, michaelinamerica
Hi,
I live in the Bay Area and I just
returned from Thailand, where I became did 180 hours of
training in Thai Traditional Massage. I will be going
again in January to continue my studies. You can email
me at jaideetouch@... if you are interesting
in getting together and practicing Thai massage or
learning more about it. There are courses in the Bay Area
which I can tell you about too.

Warm heart/warm
hands,
Jo
Greetings

I am a new member. I live in the
San Francisco bay area as well and recently just
moved here after living in Thailand for ~3
years.

I'm familiar with Chiang Mai, though most of my time
was spent in the south of Thailand, Koh Samui, in
particular.

In Koh Samui I was introduced to various types of
Massage, including traditional Thai and Reflexology. Both
of which I have a strong interest in. In Bangkok, at
Wat Po, The temple housing the reclining buddha) many
students learn Thai massage. I was busy working so unable
to take a course, but I am still interested. Will
check your link just after I post this, but wondering
if you know if there are courses here in the bay
area.

Am also interested in Reiki which I also discovered
while in Samui. And in Kundalini Yoga, as I experienced
an awakening in while in Thailand over a year ago,
piercing two lower chakras, hoping to pierce the remaining
five.

My greetings to all,
~invis

My name is Robert de Nies and I just dicovered
your site. I would love to visit in Nepal; the last
time I was there was over twenty years ago and I had a
great time then. I have been involved with various
forms of bodywork for over 2 decades. A couple of years
ago I discovered Thai massage and really fell in love
with it. I studied in Thailand with Pichest Boonthume,
right outside of Chieng Mai. To find out more about me
and my work visit my web site at

I have been using Thai Massage in practice for about a year now, having been
educated at Wat Po Traditional Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand last year. My
customers love the results.
I'll be travelling to Chiang Mai in early June to
study Thai Massage. As of yet, I have not settled on a
particular teacher/school. Considering several found in my
research and at the suggestion of some reliable sources.
ITM (Chongkrol Setthakorn), Pinchest Boonthumme, and
Old Medicine Hospital are some that I am considering.
Small class size and a comprehensive/authentic training
are of importance. The instructors should also speak
fair english. Any suggestions regarding these or other
teachers/schools is appreciated...

Namaste
I went to Wat Po in Bangkok, last fall to take
both Thai massage and advanced Thai healing methods.
The classes were fantastic. I loved everything I
learned, however, I am not finding much interest for this
massage method here in Arizona. What is the interest
level in other areas of the US? How have you been able
to generate more interest?
Hello, Sharma. My name is David and I moved to
Seattle recently, from Los Angeles, where I was a
licenced MT and also a teacher at Touch Therapy Institute.
I have considerable experience in Acupressure,
Reflexology, Sweedish, Deep Tissue, etc. I now consider myself
a touch healer more than anything, but finding
quality MTs to exchange with is difficult at best. It has
been frustrating. Regardless of whether you would be
interested in exchange or not, I would like to hear from
you. My e-mail is gadfly_47@...
I have no
experience in Thai but I am sure I can pick it up very
easily thanks to my knowledge in other styles. Namaste,
and farewell. David
i live in indiana and would love to find out
where i can find out more about this style of

ways to better myself
my email address is:

Sharma-

My wife and I recently moved to
Seattle from Philadelphia where we had a massage practice
exclsuively devoted to Thai Massage. Additionaly, we taught
an 80 hour complete course. We studied at the Old
Medicine Hospital in Chiang Mai back in 1996. My wife is a
student at Bastyr (Naturopathy) and is licensed in WA, I
am not yet licensed here. We have some good
information (books etc.) on TM. I would like to know about
your experience with TM. We are living in Capital Hill
and would love to hear more from you and anyone else
in the Seattle area who is interested in trading. My
email is

druya1@...

find others to join this discussion, which I hope
