I agree absolutely with your answer, and congratulations on being
strong and independent enough to say no! I know from my own
experience that it's easy to be misunderstood and to feel confused
when you have long hair and people overreact.

You've got wonderful hair, and it's clear that you're having fun
sharing your experience and just being yourself. Don't let anyone
change you just for their own selfish reasons.

Keep your longhair flag flying!
