The best way to get good answers about low adrenal function: do a web
search for addison's disease or adrenal fatigue. Some symptoms could
include hypoglycemia, dizzy spells and fatigue but it really depends
on how far the adrenals are compromised. The thyroid comes into play
here as well and you might want to do a search for hypothyroidism.
I seriously doubt you will find many docs that think the adrenals
could cause pain but ask most any sufferer of serious adrenal issues
and they will say otherwise.
A simple home remedy would be to try taking vit. c to bowel tolerance
and see if you feel better. The organ in the body most dependent on
vit C is the adrenals.
