Re: [amalgamillness] Amalgam Fillings

You could probably go ahead with a detox and be okay but what I don't like is the dentist's vagueness.  What does he consider "a very small amount"?  Do you have any nickel in your crowns?  Also very bad.  Are you able to get a second opinion from a biological dentist, maybe someone on the DAMS list?
Good luck to you.....................Betsy

have all my amalgam fillings replaced recently. I remember a prior
dentist telling me before doing a composite filling then a crown that
he was going to leave just a little bit of the amalgam filling because
he felt it would cause the tooth more harm to remove it all. So he put
composite filling over it. At that time, I did not know better, so I
said ok. I called that dentist back, and he said if that is what he
said then he is sure it was a very small amount left. He is not sure
which tooth it is. He did several crowns for me. Should I be
concerned about this amount before I do a detox?

I am pretty sure a dentist would be able to identify amalgam on an X-ray (as opposed to some other material.) Your best bet is to ask a dentist or dental...
