Hello,

I'm looking for groups, websites, etc for people in the UK who are
concerned about their mercury fillings.

I'm 29 years old and have a lot of mercury fillings (every back tooth
has at least one), almost all given to me as a child (under 16).
Since about 11 years old I have suffered from OCD (obsessive
compulsive disorder), I have infertility, and I have muscle pains,
get pins and needles when I sleep, general fatigue, aswell as
allergies.

I've had lots of medical tests, and none can find a reason for my
problems. I'm worried that it's the mercury in my teeth, and the
problems will get worse as I get older. My mother has a mouth fill of
fillings and also has OCD. I want the fillings removed, but I am
phobic of the dentist (as OCD sufferer I have multiple phobias). Also
I've heard it can be dangerous to get them removed.

I am really worried about this, and would love to hear from anyone
else who has concerns about their teeth. I am very angry that they
were put in my mouth to begin with. Anyone with an ounce of sense
must have thought that putting poisonous mercury in the teeth is just
insane!

I'd also like to hear from anyone who has had the fillings removed. I
was thinking of having them removed one at a time. They are all
surface fillings except one, which is root filling. I think I might
just have that tooth extracted as it's painful these days and I can't
chew that side.

I would be grateful for suggestions of forums or groups to discuss
these things, or emails from people.
