This is a Yahoo! Groups mailing list created for individuals, groups and organizations dealing with Alzheimer's disease, dementia and memory loss in and near the Iowa Great Lakes, including those served by the Iowa Lakes Branch Office of the Alzheimer's Association located in Spencer and serving five counties in northwest Iowa: Buena Vista; Clay; Dickinson; Emmet; Palo Alto. It's also a communications resource for members of the Iowa Lakes Advisory Council and members of the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Iowa Lakes, (formerly the Iowa Lakes Memory Walk), both of which are part of the Alzheimer's Association Big Sioux Chapter located in Sioux City, Iowa. This mailing list is used for communication between meetings of the Advisory Council and meetings of the Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee. While this group was initially created for those "taking steps to end Alzheimer's" via the annual Memory Walk, (currently the Walk to End Alzheimer's), group membership expanded to include other individuals and organizations dealing with Alzheimer's, dementia and memory loss in the aforementioned five counties.
