Hello all,
I have been suffering from schizoaffective psychosis (depressive type) since
10/1995..My mental status has been very good and stable since 3/2007..I daily
take Prozac, Effexor and Zyprexa.
You may noticed my very good English despite the fact that my native language is
Arabic..That is because a wonderful thought occurred to me in 3/2006 and here it
is..
To improve my English, I use Google search engine and within few seconds I get
the correct answer..How?
I make a probable phrase or short sentence like "on the train" or "He yelled at
me" and then I search for it using Google search engine and then I see how many
search results I get..If they are more than 1,000 (it depends on how this
probable phrase or short sentence is widespread..The number of its
repetition/frequency is relative) then this probable phrase or short sentence is
100% correct..If they are less than 1,000 (or even 100) then it is not correct
or a typo and I must change something in it [then I repeat the above time after
time until I get more than 1,000 search results (sometimes for my probable
phrase or short sentence to be 100% correct, I have to get more than 10,000
search results)].
For instance:
1 - "on the train to" occurred 351,000 times then it is 100% correct..My correct
sentence is: Linda F is on the train to Philadelphia.
2 - "at the train to" occurred 367 times then it is 100% incorrect.
3 - "is angry with me" occurred 55,400 times then it is 100% correct..My correct
sentence is: Mary Dodds is angry with me.
4 - "is angry at me" occurred 18,700 times then it is 100% correct..My correct
sentence is: Dror Hen is angry at me.
5 - "is angry from me" occurred 55 times then it is 100% incorrect.
6 - I sometimes use multiple keywords like:
"Since it is raining"+"you may" occurred 1,900 times then it is 100% correct..My
correct sentence is: Since it is raining hard, you may as well stay here as
leave.
NOTE: You can practically improve your second language using the successful
method described above..You can improve your French, German, Spanish or even
your Arabic!
I hope you find my new method in learning new languages a helpful one..Please
don't hesitate to ask me any questions related to the above..Have a good
time..Bye for now.
