Dr. Jill,
Due to a large number of instances of autism and epilepsy in our families, I
have decided to
delay some vaccinations until later and do the remainder individually. There
are very few
doctors in the whole of Atlanta who are willing to this. I have had to put up
with insults and
criticisms from a large number of doctors. I ended up traveling a hour to the
other side of
town for this decision. Finally my local pediatrician is taking new patients.
He is allowing me
to do my now eight month old shots individually, but with a lot of harassment.
If I refuse
any shots I will be no longer welcome at their practice. At every visit I get
reminded at how
far behind we are on the schedule. I hate taking her to the doctors anymore.
Please, please provide this service and please be patient and non judgmental to
those who
choose this option. I have a lot of friends who won't vaccinate at all, and
aren't welcome at
any pedestrians office, so when their children get sick, they have no where to
go.
Just like Dr. Abraham's, you'll end up with a really large and growing practice
if you offer this
service. There is no option for parents like me in Atlanta and the surrounding
suburbs.
Thank you
Sarah Miller
