Re: [alaboroflove_webgroup] Cavities due to Night Breastfeeding

My daughter is 7 now and when she was 5 she needed a small filling. I was going to our local dentist that took our insurance. He wouldn't let me stay in the room with her and did not use nitrous at all. We left without him doing anything to her. There is a pediatric dentist group in Woodstock and they did great for that one tooth but seemed that they kept finding problems on later examinations and she ended up with 3 caps on her molars in a year and half. I would not have let them do anything with out nitrous or me being right there with her. I would recommend this dentist office for major repairs but not cleanings or maintenance. We never saw the same personnel and it was always a different dentist working on her even if I requested one usually they were not with them any longer. This group has like 6 or 7 dentists and probably 10 hygienist. I felt like we were moved through the office like cattle but my daughter seemed to like them. Also I must mention that I have to drive almost an hour to get there. here is their link http://www.childrensdds.com/
There is also Kool smiles but I haven't heard anything about them.
Oh and about the nitrous there were two teeth that nitrous is all they used. NO shots and Dani did great with both of those. Its the shots she really hates.
I have since switched to a local dentist that does not take our insurance and I just pay the difference but they are well worth it.

Can I get a good referral from anyone who's been to a good pediatric
dentist? My new dentist checked my 3 yo teeth and found 6 cavities,
yikes! He wants to fill these but I have concerns since he is not a
peds dentist and wants to use laughing gas (nitrous oxide) on my 35
lb. 3 yo. Any info on this or advice on a good peds dentist is much
appreciated :)
Thank you!!!
