Keep in mind most of these rates will only be increased for this year
considering that the rates have been climbing more each year. Why is
there such disparity between the lowest facility- North Fulton at
22.8% and Piedmont with the highest percent 39.6? Some will say they
do more high risk pregnancies...but many will disagree and say it is
the mindset of the staff and providers.
I think it is interesting that someone on tour at one of these
hospitals said that the tour guide said they did not know the
percentage - it was not something that they kept. This is ridiculous
as it is a statistic that they have to keep and publish! It is public
information!
