I&R Survey

How many people work in the I&R sector?

How many people does I&R help?

What type of organizations and programs are involved in the I&R sector?

These are some pretty basic questions which are critical to helping us all better promote I&R nationally in terms of its impact and importance ... and we don't have the answers unless you help us get the information together ...

AIRS has contracted with Mark Neuffer, President of Integer Research & Consulting of Chicago to obtain these insights ... those attending the AIRS Conference may have caught Mark's presentation ... take a quick look at some of his early findings based on 70 respondents -- http://www.airs.org/files/public/conference09/AIRSEnvironmentalScan_MarkNeuffer.pdf -- and imagine the value of the information when it reflects 1,000 respondents!

If your organization has yet to respond to the AIRS Environmental Scan Research Project-- please DO SO !

The "how-to" details are below ..... Many thanks, Clive Jones, AIRS

YOUR PERSONAL SURVEY LINK
To access your personal version of the survey, please follow this link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=332FGTAflMtp7ZyLrEbn7g_3d_3dThis link is uniquely tied to this survey and your email address. ENTERING INFORMATION IN THE SURVEY
Once you have entered your name and other basic information on page 2, be sure to advance to page 3 of the survey. This will permanently save your survey file in the survey database. You may exit the survey if you want to enter information in subsequent sessions, and will be able to access your saved information by following the above link once again. When you have finished entering all information into the survey, press the "done" button on the final page.
THE STRUCTURE OF THIS SURVEY
The first half of the survey covers basic features of your organization: contact information, organizational characteristics, staff, infrastructure, and budget and funding. The second half covers basic information about your I&R operations, your clients, and your presence in the community.
COMPLETING THE SURVEY
This survey should be completed by a management-level employee with access to your organization's budget and operations information and who possesses a strong awareness of important trends in your service environment. In some cases, estimates are requested. These rely on the management experience and judgment of the person completing the survey.
Wherever possible in the survey, questions are posed in a yes/no or multiple choice format. In some cases, however, a longer narrative answer is necessary and appropriate. In these cases, please keep your remarks clearly-focused and brief.
Please complete the survey as fully as possible. If you find a question impossible to complete, please provide a brief explanation at the end of the survey. You can also provide suggestions about the content and design of future surveys.
Several questions in the survey rely on the AIRS National Problem/Needs Categories. You will find it helpful to download this document from the AIRS website. Here is the URL, which you may copy and paste into your browser: http://www.airs.org/i4a/pages/index.cfm?pageid=3378
GETTING HELP
Please ask for help if you are uncertain about the meaning of any survey questions or about how to best complete them. The most efficient way to do this is by itemizing your questions in a brief e-mail. Specify “Questions About Research Survey” as your message subject, and send your questions to: info@...
