If I may comment on the job postings, it would be great if they are posted
on the AIRS web site for the general public to see.

ASAE and Idealist.org have great career sections, but I bet many folks like
myself in support organizations or varying states of employment, who are
interested in the I&R/211 "industry", would go to the AIRS site first. (Or
this list!)

Putting them in a newsletter or "members only" section would greatly limit
your reach and exposure, and make it harder for folks to pass the job ads on
to potential candidates they may know.

Once established, the forum could also be used to recruit volunteers and
board members....

Many organizations and individuals actually set up a "read only" Yahoo group
like this as a job board...its free and often easier to maintain than
dedicated web site space.

Maybe there. But I did get something about the AIRS toolkit. Now, AIRS
should just have sent all members a username and password and been done with
it. Having to print out and fax, well, not that big a deal - but this is
2005 and it should be more automated. And, take all those "coming soon"
pages off the web site until you have some content to put on said pages.

Plus, I wasn't able to open the pdf version of most recent newsletter. Did
anyone else have that problem? Take care.

The I&R Toolkit a benefit for AIRS agency members only, and under the new
membership structure it will not be available to those at the Basic Level.
So
it was not feasible to do a blanket award of a username and password.
Also,
not everyone is interested in this information, and by completing the
application we have a list of who is, and can better ensure that only
members receive
access. As to the job postings on the AIRS web site I will discuss this
with the board. If you are having problems opening the newsletter please
feel
to contact me or Debra Fernandez listed in the email and we will send you a
copy of the pdf. If you have any further concerns please do not hesitate
