In reading recent postings, I found a comment from Karen that she
thougth 20 mg of flunarazine was top end dosage. I have always been
very curious in this, but more so lately. Joel is four years old, and
on 15 mg daily. (He weights 15 1/2 kg) Of late, his episodes (what we
call attacks of AHC) have become increasingly more severe, and I was
wondering if he was out growing his dosage. His Paediatric
Neurologist didn't seem keen when I mentioned increasing his dose, so
I just left it alone for the time being. It is difficult balancing
the possible drug side affects of the concoctions some of our kids
take, with the illnesses themselves!
Anyway, I was wandering what dosage of flunarazine kids are taking,
compared with age and weight ratio?
Also, having read the last newsletter posted to us, I am keen to start
fundraising, as I can see medical research is actually happening.
Because I am in Australia, does anyone know if I have to open up an
Australian chapter of the charity and send the funds to America in
order for people to donate, and claim tax deductions or can we donate
to overseas charities? Probably more a question for the Australian
Taxation Office, just thought I would ask)
