Well, this is all pretty new to me. I have only had it only a year. Anyways, i
have been thinking about getting a new job because the place that i work at
isn't doing very well. They have had two layoffs in the past six months. There
will probably more to come too. Anyhow, i was wondering if i should or have to
put on my applications that i have epilepsy. I feel that if they see that they
will be less apt to hire you. What do you think? I want to work; i hate being
at home all day.

Currenty,I work in an elementary school as the technology

For the past 5ish years, I've been working in the Baltimore
County School System. The firs year we lived here, I had a seizure
while driving to school. They were very accommodating. I had not had
a seizure since I was in college about 25 yrs ago. So this was
renewing fears for me. While I was getting accustomed to the meds,
the school nurse would check on me occassionally(sp?). The principal
even strolled through my library(probably cuz it was a short cut?)
:-) Anyhow, I feel that if you communicate with people about your
concerns, you will know who you can talk to....and trust. This can
raise the comfort level of you as well as your coworkers.
At each posting(school) that I've had, I've filled out a card
that the school has for the faculty and staff that is kept in the
nurse's office for emergency's only. I have felt very supported at
my schools.
