Hi Jillian,

I am 26 and just got braces last month. The first week was rough and I hardly
ate anything. But I am use to them now and I hardly ever feel them in my mouth.
I got the ceramic(clear braces) and they are working fine. Well during the
consultation they will exam your teeth and take photographs of the mouth and
face, they will make a mold of your teeth and x-rays as well. It doesn't take
that long. They will also give you info on how long you might have to wear them
and let you know if you might have to get teeth removed in order for your teeth
to get straight. I know I will have to get 2 teeth removed soon because of the
crowding I have. But just make sure you ask questions so you can feel more
comfortable. Good luck.
