Cindi, when I had my braces, i had power chains for about 3/4 of my treatment time, which was 3 years 7 months. So i had the power chains not quit three years. Some of that time the chains were put on to just hold the teeth in their correct spot and not actually moving anything. I would give them time to work. 1 mm a month seems like a lot but what do i know. Hang in there, they get a lot easier to wear after the major movement is done.

I have a question...and OH..welcome to the group..the first week of my braces (jan.4) was AWFUL. I couldnt eat at all..now, I eat whatever I want....pretty much.
My question...to the rest of the group...I've had power chains on now for a month. I see NO spaces closing..My doc says to expect one millimeter a month...i have 3 millimeters. ..I was under the impression that I would have them closed in one month...what gives!!?!?
Any and all experiences welcome. Thanks!
