When I had Aetna insurance, they did not cover adult orthodontics. But the Cigna coverage I have now does, 50% up to a certain amount ... I think $2000 max payout. Too late for my braces since I'm long done, but it would cover replacement retainers ... which gives me some peace of mind.

Does anyone's pay for adults? Mine did not either...but I luckily only paid $3400. After hearing many people's prices, I feel relieved...Steph----- Original Message -----From: ClareceSent: Sunday, June 15, 2008 12:56 PMSubject: [adultswithbraces] Re: IntroductionThanks, Cindi.
My dental insurance doesn't pay for ortho, either. I'm shelling out
just under $6000 for mine, not including the extractions I need. Oh,
well. It's been long enough, and I'm willing to make the sacrifices I
need to.

I'm 35. I have two kids, and I'm married. I made my
way...have dental ins. now!!!! YAY! Even though ortho isn't
covered for me. lol I still wanted very much to have
"the perfect smile". I took the leap Jan.4. I'm thrilled
w/my decision. I was very self concienous for the first two
months..but now...I just flash them right away. I get many
compliments from people saying "good for you". I've got my eye
on the prize. I don't regret it a bit. I look forward to
my adjustments, and I also look forward to.....as crazy as it is going
to sound...the soreness after the adjustments. ..lol.... but I know that
they are moving with this soreness. It's working!!
