have been a little self conscious of showing people when they ask to
see, but I guess it doesnt even matter how it looks so much as it is
the courage to take a step at our age to fix a problem that has been
holding us back from trying to achieve other goals. I am 28 and a
mother of 2 with one on the way...and I almost cried today while
getting my braces on...I didnt even need the tray to hold back my lips
from my teeth because I was smiling sooo hard while getting them put
on...lol..my dentist knows how sensitive this has been for me, she is
really sweet and even becoming a friend to me...but I am not
embarrassed to have the old school metal braces..I am proud now, and I
am glad to see someone else on here who can encourage me through this.
i only have to have mine on the bottom for a maybe 6 or 7 months,
maybe, and then I will be switched to invisaligns because my top teeth
arent really out of alignment ...just a few hereditary gaps I dont
like..but my bottom row looked like a box of french fries...so I am
just thankful that I have been able to do something about it...there
are so many people who go through life and NEVER get this problem
fixed, so they are a social hermit for their whole life or cover their
teeth when they laugh or just dont smile PERIOD for their WHOLE
LIFE...so ..i think it doesnt matter what kind you get...be proud of
yourself for not being ashamed to do something about it...Good luck
everyone!!!

I don't care. I actually get compliments all the time. I'm 35.
People say that they are proud of me for doing something for myself.
Kudos!
