i have the smartclip clarity on top and metal on bottom. I've had mine on since November and did have 2 upper premolars extracted. I have 2 gaps that are closing on top, but they are not extremely noticable. I honestly don't think you should worry about it, the looks of it are not as bad as you are expecting them to be and the outcome far outweighs the short time the gaps are closing. close your eyes and jump. good luck, and let us know how you do.
