It is so common...Happened to me and I was afraid that I had broken a tooth...which would not be the first time for me as I am a grinder...but it was just a loose molar.  Now, I have lots loose and don't think about it much...Hang in there...it will get better.  From what I have read/heard, the teeth may stay loose until the braces are off and a retainer has been worn for a year to get them to root back into the new place...

thanks everyone. On day 7 after the wires, some of the spongy feeling is going, but my
teeth do feel loose and i still can't chew. And sometimes when i brush, i feel like i've
moved them since they feel tight in some places. This is really going to take some getting
used to!
