Having problems with message search?
Same thing happened to me. I had teeth pulled only to find out I had to have an oral surg. place implant pins into my bone in order to pull the teeth back. I could have gotten my teeth pulled six weeks later. Instead I've had a hard time eating with these two gaps were the teeth were pulled. I couldn't get the oral surg. appt until six week after the teeth were pulled. Oh well. It was painful getting the pins in because the surg. had a hard time placing one of them. The second side was a breeze in comparison. Tomorrow I go in for my top braces. Hang in there and know that you are not alone!

I am so angry! Two weeks ago I had my spacers out and I was under the
impression I was going to get my braces on. Wrong! Now I have missng
teeth(2)on the top sides. They put these metal things on back bottom
molars, They're sharp! I had canker sores badly. I go back on the
second and they're putting the spacers back in. I couldn't eat with
those damn things! I am scheduled to get my braces on the 10th. I wish
I would have known. I would have had my teeth pulled later. I was on
maternity leave and I was hoping to have my braces in, now I'm really
scared to smile at work.

I'm sure that is really frustrating. Sorry things are not going as you
had anticipated. If it all seems reasonable, trust that your doctors
know what they are doing. As far as people seeing you looking kind of
strange, I went through that in a sense and for my own peace of mind
told those who saw me the most what was going on and everyone was more
than sympathetic. Hang in there. A year or two from now, you will
look back and this won't seem nearly AS bad as it does right now. Good
