I have this day had someone make a rude comment to me about my
decision to wear braces. This is the second time that someone asked
me "Whatever made you decide to get braces this late in the game?"
The first rude person was actually my boss. Then today, a guy at
work asked me the same question. It kinda hurts when they say these
things. I mean, just because I'm 48 years old I should be excluded
from braces? My life is over and this is a waste of money?? What's
up with that?? Why are people so mean and uncaring? He said "What
did they charge you? $3500?? $4000? I would have found something
better to spend that money on. To me it's just a waste of good
money. I used to work as a dental technician." I loked him straight
in the eye and told him that it was recommended by my dentist and my
husband and I decided to go along with it. If we didn't have the
money, we wouldn't have done it. Besides, by paying it all at once,
we got a few hundred dollar discount. It kind of shut him up pretty
quick. Besides, my crossbite was pretty bad and my front teeth were
beginning to look like dog teeth. They have already lined up pretty
well! And, it may just be in my head, but I have noticed this HUGE
decline in headaches in the past few months. Maybe it's just
coincidence, but I read somewhere that poor teeth alighnment can
actually lead to headaches. Maybe that's why I have had many less
than I ever did before.
On the flip side, I have also had so many of the female co-workers
say that they've been wanting to get braces, too. And now, they are
seriously considering it.
Anyone have similar problems with butt holes making comments?
Take care,
Cyndy
