I am Kim, one of the moderators. I have been thru the abuse as a child
and into my adult years also. I was in a mentally abusive relationship
bout 10 years back and it was hard to get out of it and go forward.
Often we do feel alone and our homes are our sanctuary. I remember long
stretches, weeks to months, where I would leave the house only when
absolutely had to. The only positive advice I can give is that you
might still need someone that you consider safe to talk with. Someone
who can help you go into yourself to work on the issues, but also to see
that the world CAN be a safe place.

This list is mostly a resource. Because it is a public list and on the
internet, personal details are not encouraged. Brigitte posts many
resources, places to contact for information. Please look back through
the archives and you will find numerous resources.

Your previous post also indicates that you have been through all kinds
of therapy. Often we "go through" therapy, but do not connect with the
therapist I would also suggest that you please do find another
therapist. I know it is hard to do, but it can be done. We often have
internal strength that we are not aware of. I am sorry I cannot be of
more help.
